Please call at least one business day prior to when you need a ride. Also rides must be called in Monday-Friday 7AM-5PM. Emails taken after business hours for the following business day will not be accepted unless it is for cancellations.

Yankton Transit is a Non-Profit, public transit service, serving the Yankton area and is open to the public and anyone can ride.

Vision

“The Vision of Yankton Transit is that the transit system provides safe, affordable and reliable transportation service that first meets the needs of the transit dependent in communities within Yankton County by providing access to healthcare, education, employment, public services, shopping and recreational facilities, and eventually allows anyone to go anywhere in the region easily and effectively.”

Mission

We provide innovative and sustainable transportation solutions that facilitate the communities needs of mobility for medical, social, work commute, youth, low income and general public.

Goals

The following adopted goals are in effect and applicable to policy development and planning for public transit services at this time:

Goal I – Ensure basic mobility for the residents of Yankton & Yankton County
Goal II – Provide effective public transit services to meet the area’s transit needs
Goal III – Provide safe & efficient services
